The supporters of Bijagual booed when Ciudad Colon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Minor Solera didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Orlando Oviedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bennie Maldonado blasted a shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Berny Barahona having to make a save. In the 18th match minute, Bijagual was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valentin Madrigal to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Bijagual's zone, Bennie Maldonado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Berny Barahona came out of the goal and Bennie Maldonado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Bijagual booed when Ciudad Colon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guido Mena didn't get a good kick on the ball. Orlando Oviedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Gerardo Barquero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Minor Solera fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ciudad Colon's protests and gave Minor Solera a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Ciudad Colon's Minor Solera got a free kick in the 27th minute. Gabriel Saenz shot a long shot in the 28th minute and a light blocked Gerardo Barquero hadn't a chance when the ball went into goal on his right side. It was 1-0. Bijagual's Leonel Herrera got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Kenneth Bermudez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Minor Solera hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Leonel Herrera fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gerardo Barquero having to interfere. After 48 minutes, Emiliano Arias mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bijagual and the Ciudad Colon players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 48 played minutes Bijagual got a freekick which was hit by Emiliano Arias. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Orlando Oviedo to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Freddy Mata got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Bijagual fans cheered their team off the field, for while Ciudad Colon had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
