Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) After 3 played minutes San Jose got a freekick which was hit by Inocencio Barrantes. In the 7th minute Willy Conejo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Romulo Jara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ciudad Quesada's Romulo Jara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isidro Lara in the 8th minute of play. In the 9th match minute, Ciudad Quesada was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernardo Reyes to maneuver through the defense. San Jose's Willy Conejo got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Isidro Lara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Romulo Jara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Willy Conejo in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Romulo Jara prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 27th minute, Uriel Parra left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ciudad Quesada fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Romulo Jara stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Willy Conejo's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. 37 minutes into the match, San Jose's goal looked a bit too open when Abel Merino came free, but Josue Hidalgo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Isidro Lara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in San Jose's zone, Uriel Parra stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Josue Hidalgo came out of the goal and Uriel Parra tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
Josue Hidalgo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Uriel Parra in the 53rd minute of the match. Romulo Jara made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Isidro Lara sent off a good shot on target. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by William Avila during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 58th match minute, San Jose was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by William Avila to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as Willy Conejo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Romulo Jara. That made the score 1-1 in the 60 minute of play. Isidro Lara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Romulo Jara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. San Jose's attack was well implemented in the 67th minute, but when Willy Conejo was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Uriel Parra in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Josue Hidalgo saved San Jose from getting behind. Isidro Lara might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Romulo Jara. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Isidro Lara ran back to his position shaking his head. San Jose's Willy Conejo got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to San Jose getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Alain Centeno hit a great ball. Ciudad Quesada were awarded a corner in the 85th minute after San Jose's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Pablo Rojas took the corner. The corner ended in Pablo Rojas almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but San Jose's Josue Hidalgo did a great save. Romulo Jara made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Isidro Lara sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Willy Conejo in the 91st minute of play forced Ciudad Quesada's goalkeeper Romulo Jara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ciudad Quesada's Romulo Jara proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save Ciudad Quesada from getting a goal against them. Ciudad Quesada succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though San Jose had controlled the match.
