Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Nacho Martinez kicked off to start the match. Adrian Nuñez charged in rather forcefully in the 5th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Adrian Nuñez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 6 minutes into the match, Aficion Paquereña's Gonzalo Carvajal broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Angel Cordoba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maikol Luna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Club Sport Herediano defense, Teodoro Mesa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Angel Cordoba. The Club Sport Herediano fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Angel Cordoba should have stopped the shot. Hernan Molina received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Tulio Williams tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Maikol Luna scored 0-2 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Angel Cordoba, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Nacho Martinez who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 21stth minute tested the skills of Tulio Williams when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Hernan Molina might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tulio Williams. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hernan Molina ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 28th minute Nacho Martinez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tulio Williams saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Maikol Luna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Adrian Nuñez came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Club Sport Herediano fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adrian Nuñez couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Aficion Paquereña's Tulio Williams got control of the ball when Nacho Martinez tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 42 played minutes Aficion Paquereña got a freekick which was hit by Ramon Quiros. In the 47th minute, Club Sport Herediano's Nacho Martinez ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Tulio Williams. Tulio Williams yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Teodoro Mesa to make the kick off. In the 55th minute, Freddy Guzman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hernan Molina recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tulio Williams took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nery Avila, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 62 minutes had been played when some careless play by Aficion Paquereña's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Nacho Martinez was slow to take the kick. During this time Club Sport Herediano's players had a chance to rest. If Leon Camacho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tulio Williams took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nacho Martinez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aficion Paquereña's Pancho Rohrmoser shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 73rd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Angel Cordoba but with some difficulty. Tulio Williams came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by Club Sport Herediano's Hernan Molina. But to his dismay, Hernan Molina quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. After a rather tough play, Aficion Paquereña's Carlos Alfaro got a free kick in the 89th minute. After 98 played minutes Teodoro Mesa rounded Club Sport Herediano's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 4-3. Club Sport Herediano's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
