Arenal's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Dreads Lions FC the free kick. After 6 played minutes Arenal got a freekick which was hit by Bennie Acuña. Mikael Carrillo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ignacio Peña, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Raul Arce blasted a shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mikael Carrillo having to make a save. Mikael Carrillo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ignacio Peña in the 11th minute of play. If Ignacio Peña had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 16 minutes into the game, Inocencio Caballero was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Dreads Lions FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Arenal the free kick. In the 17th minute, Inocencio Caballero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arenal's Nicolas Burgos couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 17th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Dreads Lions FC. After 19 minutes of play, Arenal's Raul Arce made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mikael Carrillo was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 32nd minute, Raul Arce collided with one of Dreads Lions FC's players - so bad that he fractured his nose. 32 minutes into the game, Eduardo Morales was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Dreads Lions FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Arenal the free kick. 32 minutes into the game, one of Dreads Lions FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Pablo Cordoba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Borbon, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. After having played for 41 minutes, Ignacio Peña managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Arenal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ignacio Peña was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Asdrubal Volio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pablo Cordoba having to interfere. After having played for 46 minutes, Bennie Acuña managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Arenal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bennie Acuña was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Leon Arrieta hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ignacio Peña was the one to do the kick off. After 51 played minutes Dreads Lions FC got a freekick which was hit by Leon Arrieta. Bennie Acuña was shown his second yellow card after 54 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, Arenal's Bennie Acuña got a free kick in the 55th minute. Tomas Borbon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 68 minutes, Tomas Borbon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dreads Lions FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Borbon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tomas Borbon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Pablo Cordoba tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 75 played minutes Arenal got a freekick which was hit by Luis Sanchez. Asdrubal Volio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ignacio Peña took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mikael Carrillo. Mikael Carrillo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Asdrubal Volio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pablo Cordoba having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Asdrubal Volio got free with Pablo Cordoba in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Pablo Cordoba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Borbon, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute.
