After having played for 7 minutes, Roy Amador managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Uvita's Nicolas Echeverria proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Uvita from getting a goal against them. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind El Carmen FC's goalkeeper Federico Calderon, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Edgar Rosales received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Federico Calderon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Warner Mejias in the 30th minute of play forced El Carmen FC's goalkeeper Federico Calderon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Abel Vanderlat could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Nicolas Echeverria made a huge save. Edgar Rosales received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Federico Calderon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of El Carmen FC booed when Uvita was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Angel Pineda didn't get a good kick on the ball. Federico Calderon came out of the goal and Edgar Rosales tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Roy Amador had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Virgilio Garro hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. 76 minutes into the match, Uvita's Oscar Mena broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 97th minute Warner Mejias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Federico Calderon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The El Carmen FC support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
