Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Eduardo Picado kicked off to start the match. Olger Serrano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eric Hurtado in the 3rd minute of play. Orlando Mondragon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. William Rivas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Anselmo Pinto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Olger Serrano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 18 minutes into the match, Golfito's goal looked a bit too open when Eric Hurtado came free, but Olger Serrano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, San Carlos FC's Anselmo Pinto got a free kick in the 19th minute. After having played for 23 minutes, Eric Hurtado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. San Carlos FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eric Hurtado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Eduardo Picado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. William Rivas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Golfito's zone, Anselmo Pinto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Olger Serrano came out of the goal and Anselmo Pinto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Golfito's Anselmo Hurtado got a free kick in the 28th minute. When Eric Hurtado came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the San Carlos FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eric Hurtado couldn't finish the play. In the 33rdth minute of the game Eduardo Picado who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but San Carlos FC's William Rivas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Eduardo Picado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 37th minute Eduardo Picado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but William Rivas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Orlando Mondragon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 44 minutes into the game, Golfito's Orlando Mondragon nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. William Rivas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 48 minutes into the match, San Carlos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Orlando Mondragon came free, but William Rivas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eric Hurtado made a kick off. Anselmo Hurtado blasted a shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without William Rivas having to make a save. William Rivas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eduardo Picado, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Orlando Mondragon might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over William Rivas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Orlando Mondragon ran back to his position shaking his head. Olger Serrano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anselmo Pinto in the 60th minute of the match. When Eduardo Picado came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Golfito fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eduardo Picado couldn't finish the play. 66 minutes into the game, Reynaldo Cruz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Olger Serrano was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 69th minute, Eric Hurtado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Alexander Sirias fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored San Carlos FC's protests and gave Alexander Sirias a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, San Carlos FC's Alexander Sirias got a free kick in the 71st minute. Eduardo Picado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The San Carlos FC fans' excitement grew in the 74th match minute when San Carlos FC's Eric Hurtado looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Orlando Mondragon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eduardo Picado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. San Carlos FC's Anselmo Pinto got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eric Hurtado in the 84th minute of play forced Golfito's goalkeeper Olger Serrano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Anselmo Pinto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 88 minutes into the match, Golfito's Orlando Mondragon sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that William Rivas narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, San Carlos FC's Reynaldo Cruz got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Golfito's Orlando Mondragon came free and shot a quick shot against goal 94 minutes in the game, fortunately William Rivas had problems saving as it came toward the left post. When Orlando Mondragon in the 94th play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or William Rivas kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 2-2 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. San Carlos FC succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Golfito had controlled the match.
