Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Rogelio Montealegre started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute, Golfito FC's Rogelio Montealegre dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Edgar Pineda didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tito Sanchez went, in the 7th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Uvita's Evaristo Echeverria got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 11th minute, Cid Castillo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 13 minutes, Chunche Jimenez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Uvita and the Golfito FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Chunche Jimenez hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Golfito FC's Edgar Pineda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evaristo Echeverria in the 17th minute of play. Tito Sanchez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Edgar Pineda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Otoniel Coronado stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rogelio Montealegre's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. Josue Portuguez kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Evaristo Echeverria received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Edgar Pineda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Rogelio Montealegre had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edgar Pineda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Evaristo Echeverria, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Evaristo Echeverria to strike the kick off in the second half. Rogelio Montealegre sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Golfito FC booed when Uvita was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chunche Jimenez didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Rogelio Montealegre came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Golfito FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rogelio Montealegre couldn't finish the play. Uriel Fuentes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Otoniel Coronado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rogelio Montealegre's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Otoniel Coronado read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. When Rogelio Montealegre came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Golfito FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rogelio Montealegre couldn't finish the play. Pepe Ledezma kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Golfito FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by David Viquez in the 77th minute. Rafael Morales was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. The supporters of Golfito FC booed when Uvita was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Obando didn't get a good kick on the ball. Golfito FC's Uriel Fuentes got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Josue Portuguez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Otoniel Coronado read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. Edgar Pineda made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Tito Sanchez sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Uvita getting a freekick after 99 minutes play. Tito Sanchez hit a great ball. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
