Nelson Vindas might have been able to make a better finish in the 9th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Andre Townsend. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nelson Vindas ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nelson Vindas in the 11th minute of play forced Middlesbrough United's goalkeeper Andre Townsend to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nelson Vindas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Andre Townsend tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Middlesbrough United's Crispin Amos got a free kick in the 19th minute. In the 22ndth minute of the game Chico Chaverri who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Middlesbrough United's Andre Townsend was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Martin Warburton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jason Cubero having to interfere. Rodney Thorne's late challenge caught a San Ramon's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rodney Thorne helped the player get up and apologised. Rodney Thorne hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. After having played for 38 minutes, Nelson Vindas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. San Ramon's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nelson Vindas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Andre Townsend showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chico Chaverri, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. A collision led to Middlesbrough United getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Ged Wootton hit a great ball. After having played for 44 minutes, Chico Chaverri managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. San Ramon's supporters crossed their fingers, but Chico Chaverri was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 46th minute of the match, Martin Warburton tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Jason Cubero saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Middlesbrough United's Martin Warburton pulled a muscle in his leg after 53 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 53 minutes, Rogelio Cortez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the San Ramon and the Middlesbrough United players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 54th match minute, San Ramon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rogelio Cortez to maneuver through the defense. 56 minutes into the match, San Ramon's Chico Chaverri sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Andre Townsend narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Chico Chaverri received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Andre Townsend came out and tried to block the shot, but Chico Chaverri slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 58th minute. Chico Chaverri struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Andre Townsend didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for San Ramon. Ged Wootton hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. If Nelson Vindas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 67th minute Chico Chaverri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andre Townsend saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 68th minute, Nelson Vindas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Andre Townsend was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. After having played for 75 minutes, Chico Chaverri managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nelson Vindass short, quick shot in the 93rdth minute got Andre Townsend to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 94 played minutes Chico Chaverri could catch the ball where he stood relatively free a bit outside the goal and without hesitation he completed 1-4 into the left cross. Chico Chaverri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 100th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andre Townsend having to interfere. San Ramon's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
