Sugoi Cigaran fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Natanael Beneitez having to interfere. When Eliseo Vara came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Peru fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eliseo Vara couldn't finish the play. Sugoi Cigaran could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Natanael Beneitez made a huge save. In the 35th minute, Eliseo Vara got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Gonzo Chirivoga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zavior Villafafila hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. In the 42nd minute Porfirio Reynoso suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. After 43 played minutes Peru got a freekick which was hit by Naike Estevez. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Eliseo Vara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Markvincent Consul having to interfere. In the 58th minute, Frances Remesal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 59 minutes into the match, Peru's Dei Limpias broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. When Zavior Villafafila fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Peru's protests and gave Zavior Villafafila a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Peru's Zavior Villafafila got a free kick in the 66th minute. Zavior Villafafila kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Sugoi Cigaran's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Natanael Beneitez was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. Natanael Beneitez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sugoi Cigaran in the 72nd minute of the match. During the 85th minute of the match Min Reboredo completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Min Reboredo a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 86th match minute, Peru was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Min Reboredo to maneuver through the defense. Callpa's Gonzo Chirivoga got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 90 minutes into the match, Sugoi Cigaran had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Natanael Beneitez. Peru's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sugoi Cigaran was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Sugoi Cigaran sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Peru's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
