An unexpectedly hard shot by Zayvius Campanero in the 19th minute of play forced Chicchicay's goalkeeper Helder Legarda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 22 minutes into the match, Nejepampa's goal looked a bit too open when Quirze Pacios came free, but Damian Seron reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Quirze Pacios's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Damian Seron was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. The supporters of Chicchicay booed when Nejepampa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zayvius Campanero might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Helder Legarda. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zayvius Campanero ran back to his position shaking his head. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Quirze Pacios managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chicchicay's supporters rose to their feet, but Quirze Pacios was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Damian Seron breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 56 played minutes Nejepampa got a freekick which was hit by Eriz Gonzalez. After some careless play in the Nejepampa defense, Lonzo Haces kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Damian Seron. The Nejepampa fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Damian Seron should have stopped the shot. Eduardo Sudupe struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Damian Seron didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chicchicay. The referee ignored Nejepampa's protests and gave Eriz Gonzalez a yellow card for diving instead. After 82 played minutes Nejepampa got a freekick which was hit by Eriz Gonzalez. Damian Seron didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lonzo Haces went, in the 83rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. Lonzo Haces sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 90th minute, Chicchicay's Sidoro Goiti dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-4.
