In the 34th match minute, Juan Aurich FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vidal Trejo to maneuver through the defense. After 36 played minutes Juan Aurich FC got a freekick which was hit by Efren Cañizares. Tiago Alborza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Carlos Villaboa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carlos Villaboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tuste Campillo in the 45th minute of the match. Eudoxio Arejola's late challenge caught a Juan Aurich FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bizi Guiu helped the player get up and apologised. The audience was convinced that Tuste Campillo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Carlos Villaboa was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Pachamalla's zone, Tuste Campillo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlos Villaboa came out of the goal and Tuste Campillo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Efren Cañizares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 78th minute, Tuste Campillo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Melchor Llerena could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Caitano Campomanes made a huge save. If Tuste Campillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Tuste Campillo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Carlos Villaboa was relentless in the 91st minute of the game. Efren Cañizares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Carlos Villaboa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Juan Aurich FC fully deserved thier win.
