Fausa's Oton Blanquel got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Oton Blanquel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marques Urraburu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oton Blanquel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Remicio Payon hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. After having played for 20 minutes, Manel Cobian managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fausa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Manel Cobian was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Huayhuahuasi getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Cordarrol Vigo hit a great ball. In the 25th minute of the match Candido Churruca shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marques Urraburu showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. A collision led to Huayhuahuasi getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Cordarrol Vigo hit a great ball. Cordarrol Vigo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 46th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Elija Ahijado. Fausa's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Oton Blanquel made a kick off. Huayhuahuasi's Marques Urraburu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Huayhuahuasi from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Huayhuahuasi's zone, Oton Blanquel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marques Urraburu came out of the goal and Oton Blanquel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lamberto Ponce sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Oton Blanquel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marques Urraburu was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. In the 62nd minute Lamberto Ponce shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elija Ahijado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 66th play minute Manel Cobian came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Marques Urraburu. 0-1. After a rather tough play, Huayhuahuasi's Remicio Payon got a free kick in the 71st minute. When Fausa's Oton Blanquel in the 72nd minute got a chance for a shot 72nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Huayhuahuasi's goalie prevented a goal. If Oton Blanquel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Tiago Guia came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Huayhuahuasi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tiago Guia couldn't finish the play. Oton Blanquel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Marques Urraburu made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Huayhuahuasi's zone, Manel Cobian stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marques Urraburu came out of the goal and Manel Cobian tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fausa's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
