In the 20th minute, Xulio Olier got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Donato Oyuelos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Surania's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Cotay FBC's Anaya Escamilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Donato Oyuelos in the 46th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Donato Oyuelos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Christiano Reboiras fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Domiku Ciriaca having to interfere. In the 54th minute Zayveon Lejalde shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Domiku Ciriaca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 56 minutes into the game, Surania's Xulio Olier nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Anaya Escamilla made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. When Xulio Olier came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Surania fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Xulio Olier couldn't finish the play. Donato Oyuelos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Cotay FBC getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Garcia Sigüenza hit a great ball. In the 67th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cotay FBC's goalkeeper Anaya Escamilla, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Domiku Ciriaca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zayveon Lejalde in the 78th minute of play. In the 81st minute Xulio Olier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anaya Escamilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Christiano Reboiras sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Surania's Domiku Ciriaca got control of the ball when Christiano Reboiras tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cotay FBC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
