In the 15th minute, 李坤彬 hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Felix Montenegro came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Felix Montenegro couldn't finish the play. But to his dismay, Luis Andino quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. 82 minutes into the match, ≮王者归来≯潇潇冷雨夜's goal looked a bit too open when Felix Montenegro came free, but 郑超然 reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ecuador's Felix Montenegro managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by 徐常宇 in the 87 minute of the game. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Ecuador fully deserved thier win.
