An unexpected shot in the 4th minute by Licerio Coleira got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 5th match minute, Guzman was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lauro Trapiella to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Guzman booed when Chepito FBC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rufo Fabregas didn't get a good kick on the ball. 8 minutes into the game, Izotz Varona was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Chepito FBC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Guzman the free kick. Espiridion Caniego shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. In the 31stth minute of the game Estevez Bengochea who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chepito FBC's Serafino Viñal was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 35 minutes into the match, Chepito FBC's goal looked a bit too open when Pastor Barahona came free, but Serafino Viñal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 44 minutes into the match, Guzman's Estevez Bengochea sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Serafino Viñal narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Estevez Bengochea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Serafino Viñal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pastor Barahona was the one to do the kick off. The tension between the Chepito FBC and the Guzman players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 86 minutes of play Chepito FBC's Luzaide Sudupe was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 86 played minutes Chepito FBC got a freekick which was hit by Luzaide Sudupe. Estevez Bengochea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Serafino Viñal having to interfere. Chepito FBC's Serafino Viñal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pastor Barahona in the 93rd minute of play. Licerio Coleira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Rufo Fabregas fell near the penalty area in the 98th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chepito FBC's protests and gave Rufo Fabregas a yellow card for diving instead. In the 98th minute, Rufo Fabregas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice moves Estevez Bengochea could shoot a difficult shot in the 99th minute, which Serafino Viñal however easily saved by the left post. The Chepito FBC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Guzman's performance. The match ended with a win for Guzman.
