Laurgain Mauleon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xurdin Vallina in the 5th minute of play. 6 minutes into the match, Aznar Lagrana dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Laurgain Mauleon, 1-0. Laurgain Mauleon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aznar Lagrana in the 11th minute of the match. Angelo Graña stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Imanol Laje's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. Aznar Lagrana did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-0 to the left of a surprised Laurgain Mauleon 16 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Imanol Laje in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Angelo Graña saved Compone from getting behind. The crowd rose to their feet as Orain Garriga kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Laurgain Mauleon. That made the score 3-0 in the 27 minute of play. Compone's Angelo Graña played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cebo Zarra in the 31st minute of play. When Compone's Aznar Lagrana in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Universitario's goalie prevented a goal. 41 minutes into the match, Xurdin Vallina had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Laurgain Mauleon. Universitario's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Xurdin Vallina was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Laurgain Mauleon stood somewhat misplaced when Aznar Lagrana came free in front of goal and shot 5-0 to the left of him in the 45 minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Aznar Lagrana was the one to do the kick off. If Aznar Lagrana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Laurgain Mauleon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Orain Garriga in the 54th minute of the match. In the 57th minute Niguel Secadura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Laurgain Mauleon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 60 minutes in the game, Cebo Zarra fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Angelo Graña having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Compone's Xabel Montaña got a free kick in the 65th minute. Imanol Laje sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aznar Lagrana in the 71st minute of play forced Universitario's goalkeeper Laurgain Mauleon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aznar Lagrana scored 7-0 in the 74th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Laurgain Mauleon, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some careless play in the Universitario defense, Aznar Lagrana kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Laurgain Mauleon. The Universitario fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Laurgain Mauleon should have stopped the shot. Laurgain Mauleon stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aznar Lagrana's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aznar Lagrana in the 84th minute of play forced Universitario's goalkeeper Laurgain Mauleon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 89 minutes into the match, Universitario's goal looked a bit too open when Aznar Lagrana came free, but Laurgain Mauleon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 90 minutes into the match, Xurdin Vallina had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Laurgain Mauleon. Universitario's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Xurdin Vallina was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 9-0. 94 minutes into the match, Universitario's goal looked a bit too open when Aznar Lagrana came free, but Laurgain Mauleon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Compone walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
