Laurgain Mauleon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Galoer Magaña in the 9th minute of play. Vigil Sobrino's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Laurgain Mauleon read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. Laurgain Mauleon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Galoer Magaña, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. After 43 minutes uni fc's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Emmanuel Cardillo who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Emmanuel Cardillo almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but uni fc's Xuan Herias did a great save. After the first half uni fc were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vigil Sobrino was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Galoer Magaña recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Laurgain Mauleon. Galoer Magaña showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. If Galoer Magaña had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Galoer Magaña got free with Laurgain Mauleon in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Laurgain Mauleon made an important save on a dangerous shot by Galoer Magaña in the 58th minute. In the 60th minute of the match uni fc got a corner. Universitario's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Josepe Bolas ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on uni fc's corner Josepe Bolas fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Laurgain Mauleon quite easily take care of the ball. 60 minutes into the game Josepe Bolas took the chance and shot a long shot on goal. In spite of Laurgain Mauleon awareness of the shot he didn't succeed to stop the ball, and watched as it rolled inside the left pole. 1-4. A collision led to uni fc getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Tiburcio Merino hit a great ball. Imanol Laje took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Xuan Herias. Xuan Herias dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-4. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tiburcio Merino got free with Laurgain Mauleon in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 77 played minutes Universitario got a freekick which was hit by Steven Adornio. Xuan Herias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oriche Roman, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Vigil Sobrino managed to get in a good position for a shot. uni fc's supporters rose to their feet, but Vigil Sobrino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Laurgain Mauleon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 96th minute of the match, Galoer Magaña got a very nice opportunity to score, but Laurgain Mauleon was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. uni fc's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
