The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A hard shot 3 in the game by Marin Galindez from a close distance when the talented Zacarias Villena managed to make a qualified save. pangatirimicuaro's players were relieved. 6 minutes into the match, Geminis's Casomiro Peredo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Zacarias Villena narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Zacarias Villena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Casomiro Peredo in the 7th minute of the match. In the 9th minute Ascencio Belluga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ponce Ansola saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vela Goiti in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ponce Ansola prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 16 minutes into the match, pangatirimicuaro's goalkeeper Zacarias Villena had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marin Galindez. Zacarias Villena was a little too slow when Marin Galindez got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 18th minute. The score was now 1-0. 31 minutes into the game, Casomiro Peredo lined in a short shot 2-0 behind a frustrated Zacarias Villena. After 36 minutes, Jon Altuve mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Geminis and the pangatirimicuaro players grew even worse after the yellow card. 40 minutes into the match, Geminis's goal looked a bit too open when Ascencio Belluga came free, but Ponce Ansola reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ponce Ansola stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vela Goiti's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Casomiro Peredo to strike the kick off in the second half. Vela Goiti struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Ponce Ansola didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for pangatirimicuaro. Marin Galindez might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Zacarias Villena. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marin Galindez ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind pangatirimicuaro's goalkeeper Zacarias Villena, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ponce Ansola made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vela Goiti in the 60th minute. If Vela Goiti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vela Goiti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Ponce Ansola tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 65th minute Ascencio Belluga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ponce Ansola saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ascencio Belluga in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ponce Ansola saved Geminis from getting behind. Xulio Ribadas hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. In the 75th minute, Vela Goiti got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ascencio Belluga in the 77th minute of play forced Geminis's goalkeeper Ponce Ansola to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Ascencio Belluga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ponce Ansola made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vela Goiti in the 88th minute. Marin Galindez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Zacarias Villena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Geminis fans cheered their team off the field, for while pangatirimicuaro had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
