After 16 minutes, Ivan Lalatu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC San Guchito and the Geminis players grew even worse after the yellow card. Marin Galindez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Madaleno Rebollo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. The Geminis fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ponce Ansola should have stopped the shot.
