Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Universitario de Deportes's Caradaro Bascones started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Santos Puente's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gines Reganado read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 6th minute of play. Los Gochitos F.C.'s Honorato Amandi got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 9th match minute, Universitario de Deportes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Artizar Tolosa to maneuver through the defense. When Honorato Amandi came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Los Gochitos F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Honorato Amandi couldn't finish the play. 11 minutes into the match, Universitario de Deportes's goal looked a bit too open when Santos Puente came free, but Gines Reganado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Santos Puente struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Gines Reganado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Los Gochitos F.C.. A collision led to Universitario de Deportes getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Dominguez Moxi hit a great ball. Heriberto Sampayo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Frances Teberga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Caradaro Bascones blasted a shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Frances Teberga having to make a save. Gines Reganado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Santos Puente, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 28 minutes into the match, Los Gochitos F.C.'s Honorato Amandi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gines Reganado narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 28th minute, Artizar Tolosa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Santos Puente in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gines Reganado saved Universitario de Deportes from getting behind. If Heriberto Sampayo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 35 minutes into the match, Los Gochitos F.C.'s goalkeeper Frances Teberga had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Heriberto Sampayo. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Artizar Tolosa in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Frances Teberga prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gines Reganado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Honorato Amandi in the 40th minute of play. If Santos Puente had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gines Reganado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Santos Puente, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute.

The wind increased when Santos Puente made the kick off in the second half. After 55 minutes Universitario de Deportes's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Musko Urtueta who took care of the corner kick. Caradaro Bascones sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 66 minutes, Feliz Alastuey took a quick shot and it went in 0-1 without a chance for Gines Reganado to make any attempt to save it. 70 minutes into the game, Honorato Amandi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Gines Reganado was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Honorato Amandi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Santos Puente fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gines Reganado having to interfere. Feliz Alastuey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Gines Reganado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Universitario de Deportes's Gines Reganado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Santos Puente in the 90th minute of play. Artizar Tolosa got his second yellow card in the match during the 91st minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Artizar Tolosa hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Santos Puente fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gines Reganado having to interfere. If Honorato Amandi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Universitario de Deportes fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Los Gochitos F.C. were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
