Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Telmo Romeo made the kick off which started today's match. The crowd rose to their feet as Telmo Romeo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Gines Reganado. That made the score 1-0 in the 5 minute of play. After some careless play in the Ayacucho FC defense, Caradaro Bascones kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Oxel Altemiz. The Ayacucho FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Oxel Altemiz should have stopped the shot. In the 27th minute, Telmo Romeo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 29th minute Telmo Romeo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gines Reganado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Heriberto Sampayo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Oxel Altemiz was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. If Caradaro Bascones had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Heriberto Sampayo in the 37th minute of play forced Ayacucho FC's goalkeeper Oxel Altemiz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Heriberto Sampayo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Heriberto Sampayo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Caradaro Bascones sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Caradaro Bascones to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Antonio Cariga was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Universitario de Deportes's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ayacucho FC the free kick. Gines Reganado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Agustin Seca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 54 minutes into the match, Universitario de Deportes's goal looked a bit too open when Telmo Romeo came free, but Gines Reganado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Natal Cines struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Gines Reganado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ayacucho FC. Caradaro Bascones fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oxel Altemiz having to interfere. 67 minutes into the game, Universitario de Deportes's Heriberto Sampayo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Oxel Altemiz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. When Telmo Romeo came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Ayacucho FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Telmo Romeo couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Natal Cines managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ayacucho FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Natal Cines was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gines Reganado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Telmo Romeo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 82 minutes into the game, Tab Sotuela was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ayacucho FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Universitario de Deportes the free kick. Tab Sotuela hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. In the 87th minute, Erubiel Valli hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Oxel Altemiz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Caradaro Bascones, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 94 played minutes Universitario de Deportes got a freekick which was hit by Antonio Cariga. Gines Reganado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Natal Cines in the 96th minute of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Universitario de Deportes had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
