Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Cheques's Kinsen Correduria in the 9th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Erauso Brunet was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for SPORTING CRYSTAL through an amazing save. In the 10th minute, Bibiano Moro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Cheques getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Txordon Aballe hit a great ball. In the 12th minute, Rodriguez Ontaneda got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Miro Cortinez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xicu Millares having to interfere. Xicu Millares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guipuzkoa Saludes in the 15th minute of play. Miro Cortinez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 19th minute, Miro Cortinez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rodriguez Ontaneda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xicu Millares having to interfere. 23 minutes into the match, Cheques's goal looked a bit too open when Miro Cortinez came free, but Xicu Millares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 25 minutes, Frederico Villafafila mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SPORTING CRYSTAL and the Cheques players grew even worse after the yellow card. Frederico Villafafila kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. If Guipuzkoa Saludes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Miro Cortinez struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Xicu Millares didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SPORTING CRYSTAL. Guipuzkoa Saludes scored 0-2 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Xicu Millares, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Xicu Millares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miro Cortinez, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. The supporters of SPORTING CRYSTAL booed when Cheques was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Froylan Cortinas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Xicu Millares didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Miro Cortinez went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kinsen Correduria was the one to do the kick off. With a little luck, Cheques's Xicu Millares got control of the ball when Guipuzkoa Saludes tried to sneak it across the goal line. Burutzagi Azpiazu hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Cheques defense, Guipuzkoa Saludes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Xicu Millares. The Cheques fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Xicu Millares should have stopped the shot. 81 minutes into the match, Miro Cortinez dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Xicu Millares, 0-6. Xicu Millares stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Guipuzkoa Saludes's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. In the 88th minute, SPORTING CRYSTAL's Miro Cortinez dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-7. In the 95th match minute, Cheques was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Burutzagi Azpiazu to maneuver through the defense. In the 98th minute, Bibiano Moro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Cheques fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. SPORTING CRYSTAL were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
