Birger Engelborgh tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 21st minute Ronald Volders shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Birger Engelborgh saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Caracalla FC booed when SportsLyons was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Berto Arizmendez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Efrain Sarria sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Lano Lavalle's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alfredo Montrell was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. After a rather tough play, SportsLyons's Valentine Pamo got a free kick in the 39th minute. Caracalla FC were furious when Orlo Quevedo was red carded, 46 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Jaime Caneda placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out!

The wind increased when Ronald Volders made the kick off in the second half. In the 57th minute, Jaime Caneda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 61st minute, Lano Lavalle made a precise shot to the right of Alfredo Montrell. Caracalla FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. After 66 played minutes Caracalla FC got a freekick which was hit by Demetrio Albarez. A collision led to Caracalla FC getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Sixto Olentzaro hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Efrain Sarria in the 72nd minute of play forced Caracalla FC's goalkeeper Alfredo Montrell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 73rd minute, Caracalla FC's Ronald Volders ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Birger Engelborgh. Birger Engelborgh yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. If Lano Lavalle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 87th minute of the match Jaime Caneda shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alfredo Montrell showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Sixto Olentzaro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Birger Engelborgh read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ronald Volders in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Birger Engelborgh prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 97th minute Efrain Sarria shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfredo Montrell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
