The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Luka Langoni left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The La Palma FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Luka Langoni in the 5thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Tajo Zayas, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. REAL GARCILASO's Tajo Zayas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save REAL GARCILASO from getting a goal against them. 11 minutes into the match, La Palma FC's Benino Maria sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tajo Zayas narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of REAL GARCILASO booed when La Palma FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luka Langoni didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, REAL GARCILASO's Tiadoro Almazan got a free kick in the 14th minute. Tajo Zayas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benino Maria, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Benino Maria sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tajo Zayas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. REAL GARCILASO's Tajo Zayas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luka Langoni in the 41st minute of play. With an all-out effort, La Palma FC's Tajo Zayas threw himself towards the right post 43 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Benino Maria, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-0.

La Palma FC made a substitution. Paul Guajardo replaced Luka Langoni. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Benino Maria stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. REAL GARCILASO's Tajo Zayas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benino Maria in the 57th minute of play. A collision led to La Palma FC getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Paul Guajardo hit a great ball. La Palma FC made a substitution. Izotz Torneira replaced Senen Madariaga. Tajo Zayas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. Benino Maria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tajo Zayas having to interfere. Paul Guajardo scored 7-0 in the 76th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tajo Zayas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 80th minute, Paul Guajardo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tajo Zayas was frozen by the shot and now it was 8-0. In the 84th minute Benino Maria shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tajo Zayas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Tiadoro Almazan fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored REAL GARCILASO's protests and gave Tiadoro Almazan a yellow card for diving instead. In the 85th minute, Tiadoro Almazan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Benino Maria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benino Maria in the 87th minute of play forced REAL GARCILASO's goalkeeper Tajo Zayas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. During the 88th minute of the match Tiadoro Almazan completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Tiadoro Almazan a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 89th match minute, REAL GARCILASO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tiadoro Almazan to maneuver through the defense. Tajo Zayas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paul Guajardo in the 91st minute of play. La Palma FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
