Jose Mendoza kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. 26 minutes into the game, Monte Lirio's David Zambrano nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Javier Paredes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Orlando Castro during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Andrés Torrijos made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Reinaldo Escalona sent off a good shot on target. In the 40th minute Pedro Gutierrez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Javier Paredes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Javier Paredes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Zambrano, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. A collision led to Chilibre F.C. getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Wiliam Villalaz hit a great ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Reinaldo Escalona to strike the kick off in the second half. Pedro Gutierrez hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Pedro Gutierrez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Monte Lirio getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. David Zambrano hit a great ball. Javier Paredes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Zambrano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Andrés Torrijos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reinaldo Escalona in the 69th minute of the match. David Zambrano who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 77thth minute tested the skills of Javier Paredes when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Javier Gil hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Javier Paredes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Zambrano, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. In the 82nd minute, Monte Lirio's David Zambrano ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Javier Paredes. Javier Paredes yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. 88 minutes into the match, Chilibre F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when David Zambrano came free, but Javier Paredes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. David Zambrano struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Javier Paredes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Monte Lirio. Pedro Gutierrez in the 94thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Javier Paredes, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Alexander Moreno charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alexander Moreno the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Monte Lirio's Alexander Moreno got a free kick in the 96th minute. The Chilibre F.C. supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Monte Lirio's performance. The match ended with a win for Monte Lirio.
