Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Luis Corral got the match started through his kick off. Luis Corral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hector Espino having to interfere. A collision led to Río Hato F.C. getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Andres Navarro hit a great ball. If Luis Corral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Juan De Diego fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hector Espino having to interfere. In the 12th minute, Francesco Amaya hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Fabio González managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cerro Punta's supporters rose to their feet, but Fabio González was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hector Espino breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 1-0 became the score in the 15th minute when Fabio González elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. 20 minutes into the match, Cerro Punta's Fabio González sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hector Espino narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Cerro Punta's Fabio González slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Hector Espino. That made the score 2-0 after 23 minutes of play. Jose Chavez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Toto Posam, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Jose Chavez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Toto Posam, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 31st minute Guillermo De Paredes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jose Chavez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jose Chavez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Toto Posam in the 32nd minute of play. 35 minutes into the game, Fabio González recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Hector Espino. Fabio González showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. 41 minutes into the match, Río Hato F.C.'s goalkeeper Hector Espino had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fabio González. Hector Espino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Corral, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Cerro Punta's Fabio González got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With his leg Hector Espino managed to avoid a goal in the 48thth minute, when Cerro Punta's Fabio González fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Toto Posam to strike the kick off in the second half. Jose Chavez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Toto Posam, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. If Fabio González had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee ignored Cerro Punta's protests and gave Ricardo Posam a yellow card for diving instead. After 67 played minutes Cerro Punta got a freekick which was hit by Ricardo Posam. Luis Corral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hector Espino having to interfere. Cerro Punta's Jose Chavez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save Cerro Punta from getting a goal against them. Toto Posam received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Jose Chavez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hector Espino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabio González in the 80th minute of the match. Cerro Punta's Luis Corral got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A hard shot 85 in the game by Guillermo De Paredes from a close distance when the talented Jose Chavez managed to make a qualified save. Cerro Punta's players were relieved. Río Hato F.C.'s players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
