In the 5th minute Gabriel Cedeño shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miguel Quintero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Gabriel Cedeño managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gariché F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Gabriel Cedeño was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Miguel Quintero breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 11th minute, Gariché F.C.'s goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Heraclides Briceño fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Heraclides Briceño managed to get in a good position for a shot. Changuinola F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Heraclides Briceño was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edgardo Villalaz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Toto Carranza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Edgardo Villalaz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edgardo Villalaz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Heraclides Briceño's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. When Changuinola F.C.'s Heraclides Briceño in the 21st minute got a chance for a shot 21st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Gariché F.C.'s goalie prevented a goal. The supporters of Gariché F.C. booed when Changuinola F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ivan Tello didn't get a good kick on the ball. Toto Carranza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 34 minutes into the game, Lorenzo Castro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gariché F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Changuinola F.C. the free kick. After 39 played minutes, Gariché F.C.'s Alberto Navarro shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Miguel Quintero came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Gariché F.C. reached it. Gariché F.C.'s Alexander Gomez got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Heraclides Briceño to make the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gabriel Cedeño in the 51st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Miguel Quintero prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Alexander Gomez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Miguel Quintero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Miguel Quintero made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gabriel Cedeño in the 58th minute. In the 61stth minute of the game Toto Carranza who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gariché F.C.'s Edgardo Villalaz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gariché F.C.'s goalkeeper Edgardo Villalaz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Edgardo Villalaz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Toto Carranza in the 82nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Heraclides Briceño in the 85th minute of play forced Gariché F.C.'s goalkeeper Edgardo Villalaz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Toto Carranza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 89 minutes of play, Changuinola F.C.'s Heraclides Briceño made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Edgardo Villalaz was left in no man's land by his defense there! 92 minutes in the game, Alexander Gomez dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gabriel Cedeño in the 94th minute of play forced Changuinola F.C.'s goalkeeper Miguel Quintero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Gariché F.C. players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Changuinola F.C. from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
