Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) In the 3rd minute, Ailigandí's Martín García seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Martín García the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Ailigandí protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Martín García had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Martín García kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. Humberto Peralta missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 5 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Hector Castillo right hand side. With an all-out effort, Ailigandí's Azael Diaz threw himself towards the right post 13 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Joe Amaya, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Juan Fernández could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Azael Diaz made a huge save. Juan Quirós might have been able to make a better finish in the 18th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Azael Diaz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Juan Quirós ran back to his position shaking his head. If Joe Amaya had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Achutupo's zone, Lorenzo De Leon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Azael Diaz came out of the goal and Lorenzo De Leon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Azael Diaz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juan Fernández in the 26th minute of the match. Juan Fernández fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Azael Diaz having to interfere. If Joe Amaya had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hector Castillo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elias Ramirez in the 32nd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Juan Quirós managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ailigandí's supporters rose to their feet, but Juan Quirós was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Azael Diaz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Juan Quirós received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Azael Diaz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Joe Amaya was extremely unlucky when he, in the 43rd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. A collision led to Achutupo getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Lorenzo Quirós hit a great ball. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
Achutupo's Azael Diaz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juan Quirós in the 52nd minute of play. Ailigandí's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
