The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

58 minutes into the match, CAINES C.F's Lucho Gutierrez sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ricardo Centella narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Las Minas F.C.'s zone, Lucho Gutierrez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ricardo Centella came out of the goal and Lucho Gutierrez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Las Minas F.C.'s Miguel Moscoso got a free kick in the 67th minute. Luis Mendoza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Ricardo Centella tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ricardo Centella showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucho Gutierrez, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. If Luis Mendoza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
