Gilberto Rios was slow to take the kick. During this time Entradero F.C.'s players had a chance to rest. Emanuel Trejos struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Martín Nuñez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Alcalde Díaz. Alcalde Díaz's Emanuel Trejos got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Martín Nuñez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Garcia in the 27th minute of the match. With a little luck, Entradero F.C.'s Martín Nuñez got control of the ball when Emanuel Trejos tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 30th minute, Franklin Mendieta ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ramón Ramos was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 36 minutes into the match, Alcalde Díaz's goal looked a bit too open when Jorge Ramírez came free, but Ramón Ramos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Martín Nuñez made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Emanuel Trejos sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Felipe Villalobos got free with Ramón Ramos in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 60 minutes into the match, Entradero F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Emanuel Trejos came free, but Martín Nuñez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 61st match minute, Entradero F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jorge Ramírez to maneuver through the defense. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Gilberto Rios the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Entradero F.C. protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Gilberto Rios had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 64th minute of the game. One of Entradero F.C.:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Alcalde Díaz:s goal. Jorge Ramírez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ramón Ramos having to interfere. Franklin Mendieta struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Ramón Ramos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Entradero F.C.. The Entradero F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Martín Nuñez should have stopped the shot. Franklin Mendieta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Ramón Ramos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 88 minutes into the match, Alcalde Díaz's goalkeeper Ramón Ramos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Franklin Mendieta. The audience was convinced that Emanuel Trejos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Martín Nuñez was relentless in the 90th minute of the game. If Jorge Ramírez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 97th minute, Emanuel Trejos made a precise shot to the right of Martín Nuñez. Entradero F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Entradero F.C.'s supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Alcalde Díaz had won, even though Entradero F.C. had held more of the ball.
