Luis Barrera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Orlando Paredes in the 3rd minute of play. Cheito González's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Andrés Torrijos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 5th minute of play. The supporters of Escobal booed when Club Atletico Paisa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cheito González didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rigoberto Pinilla made in the 10th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Christian Cedeño immediately put the ball in play. Luis Barrera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victor Tijero, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. 14 minutes into the match, Escobal's goal looked a bit too open when Orlando Centella came free, but Andrés Torrijos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Cheito González managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Atletico Paisa's supporters rose to their feet, but Cheito González was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Andrés Torrijos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 42 minutes, Cheito González managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Atletico Paisa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cheito González was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Wilfredo Peren kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Luis Barrera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Orlando Paredes in the 47th minute of the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Orlando Paredes made a kick off. Victor Tijero kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Andrés Torrijos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cheito González's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. Hermes Pimentel kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Cheito González's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Andrés Torrijos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. 61 minutes into the match, Club Atletico Paisa's Cheito González sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Andrés Torrijos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 69th minute, Cheito González left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Club Atletico Paisa fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Christian Cedeño received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Luis Barrera came out and tried to block the shot, but Christian Cedeño slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 74th minute. In the 77th minute, Victor Tijero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 81 minutes into the game, Cheito González cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Andrés Torrijos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to Escobal getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Christian Cedeño hit a great ball. Andrés Torrijos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cheito González in the 86th minute of the match. In the 89th minute, Cheito González made a precise shot to the right of Andrés Torrijos. Escobal's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Elias Castro kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Club Atletico Paisa walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
