Francesco Carrillos short, quick shot in the 33rdth minute got Sergio De Diego to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. CANALEROS F.C.'s Alex Vergara got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomás Treviño in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sergio De Diego saved Nombre De Dios from getting behind. In the 42nd minute, Tomás Treviño ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sergio De Diego was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Martín Amaya to make the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomás Treviño in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal.
