Toto Gutierrez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andres Morris having to interfere. A collision led to Tubualá F.C. getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Carlos Quirós hit a great ball. If Juan Gutierrez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Tubualá F.C.'s zone, Leonidas Moscoso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ricardo Diaz came out of the goal and Leonidas Moscoso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 17 minutes into the game, Rolando Sobenis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Andres Morris was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Fernando Quiros kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. In the 24th minute, Juan Gutierrez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Tubualá F.C.'s Toto Gutierrez in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After 40 played minutes, Tubualá F.C.'s Enrique Osorio shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Andres Morris came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Tubualá F.C. reached it. Coetupo F.C.'s Andres Morris played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Toto Gutierrez in the 42nd minute of play. In the 61st minute, Coetupo F.C.'s Andrés Lao seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Andrés Lao the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Coetupo F.C. protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Andrés Lao had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 63rd minute there was a penalty for Tubualá F.C.. Luchito Jaen stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Andres Morris. 2-0. Ricardo Diaz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leonidas Moscoso in the 70th minute. After 71 minutes, Max Aizprua mouthed his way into the referee's book.
