Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Lorenzo Ramos kicked off to start the match. Andres Morris made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Gilberto Barrera sent off a good shot on target. When Ailigandí's Lorenzo Ramos in the 10th minute got a chance for a shot 10th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Coetupo F.C.'s goalie prevented a goal. Lorenzo Ramos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lorenzo Ramos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Andres Morris read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. Franklin Quirós showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mario Arias, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Lorenzo Ramos might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Andres Morris. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lorenzo Ramos ran back to his position shaking his head. Gilberto Barrera sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Ailigandí's zone, Mario Arias stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Franklin Quirós came out of the goal and Mario Arias tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mario Arias in the 42nd minute of play forced Ailigandí's goalkeeper Franklin Quirós to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Franklin Quirós took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mario Arias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 46th minute of the match Coetupo F.C. got a corner. Ailigandí's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Andrés Lao ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Andrés Lao almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Ailigandí's Franklin Quirós did a great save. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.
The wind increased when Mario Arias made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Nicolás Mendieta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leonidas Moscoso's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 54thth minute, Franklin Quirós skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 59 minutes into the match, Coetupo F.C.'s Leonidas Moscoso sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Franklin Quirós narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Mario Arias struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Franklin Quirós didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Coetupo F.C.. Franklin Quirós made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Leonidas Moscoso sent off a good shot on target. Franklin Quirós made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mario Arias in the 67th minute of play. Leonidas Moscoso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Franklin Quirós tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Leonidas Moscoso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Ailigandí getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Totín Henriguez hit a great ball. Ailigandí's Lorenzo Ramos got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Franklin Quirós took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mario Arias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Coetupo F.C.'s Andres Morris played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lorenzo Ramos in the 80th minute of play. After 83 minutes of play, Ailigandí's Lorenzo Ramos made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Andres Morris was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Ailigandí's Totín Henriguez got a free kick in the 88th minute. In the 90thth minute of the game Mario Arias who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ailigandí's Franklin Quirós was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With an all-out effort, Coetupo F.C.'s Franklin Quirós threw himself towards the right post 94 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Mario Arias, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Ailigandí fans cheered their team off the field, for while Coetupo F.C. had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
