Franklin Herrera charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Franklin Herrera the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Darien F.C.'s Franklin Herrera got a free kick in the 4th minute. Franklin Villalaz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pablo Valdez in the 7th minute of the match. 7 minutes into the game, Manuel Fernandez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tolé's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Darien F.C. the free kick. Manuel Fernandez kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. José Valdez struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Jonathan Dely didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tolé. In the 17th minute, Gabriel Dely got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 19th minute José Valdez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Dely saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pablo Valdez kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Franklin Villalaz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pablo Valdez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Giancarlo Barrera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edgardo Ramos hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Tolé's zone, Pablo Valdez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Franklin Villalaz came out of the goal and Pablo Valdez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Franklin Villalaz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pablo Valdez, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute.

Giancarlo Barrera recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pablo García kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. After 72 played minutes Darien F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Pablo Valdez. 73 minutes into the match, Tolé's José Valdez sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jonathan Dely narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Pablo Valdez was extremely unlucky when he, in the 76th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Franklin Villalaz came out of the goal in the 76th minute to try and stop a shot by Darien F.C.'s Gabriel Dely. But to his dismay, Gabriel Dely quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After a rather tough play, Tolé's Cheito Orozco got a free kick in the 84th minute. 95 minutes into the match, Darien F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when José Valdez came free, but Jonathan Dely reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 96 minutes, Gabriel Dely managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Darien F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Gabriel Dely was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Darien F.C.'s supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
