The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gilberto Vergara showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Francesco Gómez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Tomás Corral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Franklin Pimentel took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tomás Corral. Tomás Corral dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Elias Pinilla kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Jose Perez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 40th minute, Rafael Gonzalez reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Gilberto Vergara. The goal made the score 1-2. After having played for 44 minutes, Franklin Pimentel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. La Palma's supporters crossed their fingers, but Franklin Pimentel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
Chigoré F.C.'s Tomaso Arias suffered a concussion in the 52nd minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. When Miguel Garcia De Paredes fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored La Palma's protests and gave Miguel Garcia De Paredes a yellow card for diving instead. 55 minutes into the match, Jose Perez had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gilberto Vergara. La Palma's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jose Perez was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. If Francesco Gómez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When La Palma's Francesco Gómez, in the 67th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for La Palma. Tomás Corral came out and tried to block the shot, but Franklin Pimentel slotted it home off the left post making it 2-4 in the 88th minute. Jose Perez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilberto Vergara having to interfere. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched La Palma eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
