Beto Fernandez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andrés Chavez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hermes Calderón was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 20 minutes into the match. 19 minutes into the game, one of Aguadulce F.C.:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Ramon González who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 29thth minute tested the skills of Jorge Brandao when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When Nombre De Dios F.C.'s Victor Pinilla in the 30th minute got a chance for a shot 30th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind Aguadulce F.C.'s goalkeeper Jorge Brandao, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Victor Pinilla in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jorge Brandao saved Aguadulce F.C. from getting behind. If Andrés Chavez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 44 minutes into the match, Aguadulce F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Victor Pinilla came free, but Jorge Brandao reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Aguadulce F.C. getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Andres Villalobos hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Aguadulce F.C.'s zone, Raul Villarreal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jorge Brandao came out of the goal and Raul Villarreal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Beto Fernandez made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Andrés Chavez sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 54 minutes, Andrés Chavez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Aguadulce F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Andrés Chavez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After having played for 57 minutes, Victor Pinilla managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Beto Fernandez had in the 66thth minute some difficulties stopping Ramon Sobenis's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After a long run with the ball, Ramon Sobenis did a trick in the 66th minute in front of Nombre De Dios F.C.'s goalkeeper, who threw himself to the side. After that it was simple to shoot 2-2. An impressive performance by Aguadulce F.C.'s Ramon Sobenis! Andrés Chavez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Francesco Corral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a defensive mix-up in Nombre De Dios F.C.'s zone, Andrés Chavez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Beto Fernandez came out of the goal and Andrés Chavez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 90 played minutes Aguadulce F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Juan Ramirez. Andrés Chavez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Beto Fernandez made a huge save. 96 minutes into the match, Nombre De Dios F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Francesco Corral came free, but Beto Fernandez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Andrés Chavez got free with Beto Fernandez in the 97th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
