Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Moisés Vergara took the kick off in the first half of the match. Marcos Cedeño kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. When Jorge Sánchez came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Santa Rita Arriba fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jorge Sánchez couldn't finish the play. Giancarlo Carranza hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Santa Rita Arriba's supporters stood up full of expectation in the 16th minute of the game, when Felipe Trejos after an extraordinary solo performance found himself with a golden opportunity in front of Sioguí Arriba's goal. Felipe Trejos was unfortunally a little to anxious and the ball went outside the goal. Santa Rita Arriba's Cheito García played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julio Trejos in the 18th minute of play. Leonidas Herrera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Moisés Vergara in the 26th minute of play. Jorge Sánchez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Leonidas Herrera made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Santa Rita Arriba's Lucho De Diego got a free kick in the 29th minute. After some careless play in the Santa Rita Arriba defense, Marcos Cedeño kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cheito García. The Santa Rita Arriba fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cheito García should have stopped the shot. Julio Trejos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lucho De Diego hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Emanuel Mora made a kick off. Emanuel Mora sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 55th minute, Emanuel Mora left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sioguí Arriba fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. Leonidas Herrera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jorge Sánchez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Julio Trejos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sioguí Arriba's supporters rose to their feet, but Julio Trejos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cheito García breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Emanuel Mora sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Emanuel Mora received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Cheito García tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Moisés Vergara in the 78th minute of play forced Sioguí Arriba's goalkeeper Leonidas Herrera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sioguí Arriba's Emanuel Mora was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 85th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. If Emanuel Mora had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 92 minutes into the game, Emanuel Mora recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Cheito García. Emanuel Mora showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-5. Leonidas Herrera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Moisés Vergara in the 97th minute of play. The Santa Rita Arriba fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Sioguí Arriba were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
