After 9 played minutes, La Mitra's Ricardo De Paredes shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Hermes Zambrano came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in La Mitra reached it. After 34 minutes, Raul Quirós mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tolé F.C. and the La Mitra players grew even worse after the yellow card. Felix Rios was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 40th minute. Tolé F.C.'s manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. With a little luck, La Mitra's Giancarlo Vergara got control of the ball when Felix Rios tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 44 minutes, Felix Rios managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Sebastián Peralta made the kick off in the second half. Hermes Zambrano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sebastián Peralta in the 54th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jaime Arias in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Giancarlo Vergara saved La Mitra from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaime Arias in the 61st minute of play forced La Mitra's goalkeeper Giancarlo Vergara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Max De Leon struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Hermes Zambrano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for La Mitra. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastián Peralta in the 64th minute of play forced Tolé F.C.'s goalkeeper Hermes Zambrano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 74 minutes, Jaime Arias managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Giancarlo Vergara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felix Rios, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. In the 91stth minute of the game Jaime Arias who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but La Mitra's Giancarlo Vergara was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Felix Rios fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Giancarlo Vergara having to interfere.
