Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Monchi Fernández got the match started through his kick off. Rigoberto Gomez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sergio Palma in the 7th minute of the match. In the 8th minute Sergio Palma shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rigoberto Gomez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Beto De Paredes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Rigoberto Gomez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Monchi Fernández in the 19th minute of play forced Chitré's goalkeeper Javier Orozco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Chitré's Javier Orozco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexis Quirós in the 23rd minute of play. Franklin Urane charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Franklin Urane the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Chitré's Franklin Urane got a free kick in the 25th minute. The supporters of Puerto Pilón booed when Chitré was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Nuñez didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Monchi Fernández kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Javier Orozco. That made the score 1-0 in the 27 minute of play. The audience was convinced that Beto De Paredes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rigoberto Gomez was relentless in the 45th minute of the game. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Beto De Paredes was the one to do the kick off. In the 67thth minute of the game Monchi Fernández who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chitré's Javier Orozco was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.
