Luis Mendieta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antonio Garcia in the 37th minute of play. 40 minutes into the match, La Pesa F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Ricardo De Leon came free, but Heraclides Murillo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 41st match minute, La Pesa F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Orlando Alfaro to maneuver through the defense. Ricardo De Leon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Heraclides Murillo having to interfere. In the 43rd minute, Orlando Alfaro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 45 minutes into the match, La Pesa F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Ricardo De Leon came free, but Heraclides Murillo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The wind increased when Ricardo De Leon made the kick off in the second half. Julio Fernandez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Luis Mendieta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 65 minutes into the match, Alexander Ortiz notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of La Pesa F.C.'s Heraclides Murillo. Heraclides Murillo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Nicolás Quirós took the ball and in the 70 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Heraclides Murillo. Luis Mendieta didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for La Pesa F.C.. Julio Fernandez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Los Lotes's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
