Chiriquí Grande's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Amsterdam FC the free kick. The supporters of Amsterdam FC booed when Chiriquí Grande was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicolás Alfaro didn't get a good kick on the ball. 47 minutes into the match, Chiriquí Grande's goal looked a bit too open when Totín Gutierrez came free, but Andrés Henríguez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Matias Palma stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 60 minutes into the match, Chiriquí Grande's goal looked a bit too open when Totín Gutierrez came free, but Andrés Henríguez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Andrés Henríguez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Totín Gutierrez in the 65th minute of the match. In the 66th minute, Raul Lao fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Andrés Henríguez, passed just outside the right post. If Raul Lao had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 70 played minutes Chiriquí Grande got a freekick which was hit by Nicolás Alfaro. An unexpectedly hard shot by Totín Gutierrez in the 79th minute of play forced Chiriquí Grande's goalkeeper Andrés Henríguez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Andrés Henríguez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Totín Gutierrez, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Rigoberto Castro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 84 minutes into the match, Rigoberto Castro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Reggie Morris. Amsterdam FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rigoberto Castro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. 93 minutes into the match, Amsterdam FC's goal looked a bit too open when Matias Palma came free, but Reggie Morris reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Chiriquí Grande were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Amsterdam FC for a fine match.
