The supporters of Divalá booed when Chiriquí Grande was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rigoberto Castro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Andrés Henríguez made a fantastic save in the 4th minute, when Romel García sent off a good shot on target. 14 minutes into the match, Divalá's goal looked a bit too open when Matias Palma came free, but Wiliam Lao reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 21 played minutes Chiriquí Grande got a freekick which was hit by Joe Valdez. Nicolás Alfaro's late challenge caught a Divalá's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nicolás Alfaro helped the player get up and apologised. In the 23rd minute, Nicolás Alfaro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wilfredo Toledano, 23 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Andrés Henríguez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Romel García, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sergio Nuñez got free with Andrés Henríguez in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Romel García sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Wiliam Lao made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rigoberto Castro in the 42nd minute of play. Matias Palma received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Wiliam Lao came out and tried to block the shot, but Matias Palma slotted it home off the left post making it 0-1 in the 51st minute. In the 64th minute the ball was on its way in behind Chiriquí Grande's goalkeeper Andrés Henríguez, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Chiriquí Grande booed when Divalá was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felix Brandao didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ramón Jaen didn't quite understand what happened when in the 69 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. Pedro Mora charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down.
