Elias Gil took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ramón Vergara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 41st minute Lucho Gonzalez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elias Gil saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Max Garcia was the one to do the kick off. 56 minutes into the match, El Rincón's goal looked a bit too open when Max Garcia came free, but Humberto Escobar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With an all-out effort, El Rincón's Elias Gil threw himself towards the right post 62 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Raul Espino, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Beto Pimentel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Humberto Escobar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Max Garcia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. El Rincón's Humberto Escobar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Beto Pimentel in the 84th minute of play. If Max Garcia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 96 minutes into the game, Raul Espino recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Elias Gil. Raul Espino showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
