They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Luis Arias to make the kick off. Through an outstanding action, after 64 minutes, Hector Agurto successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. If Gustavo Urane had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Arias in the 79th minute of play forced Santa Fé's goalkeeper Hector Agurto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Icantí getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Matias Treviño hit a great ball. 92 minutes into the match, Santa Fé's goalkeeper Hector Agurto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Felix Zapata.
