The referee ignored Bethania F.C.'s protests and gave Enrique Centella a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 4th minute of the game. One of Bethania F.C.:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Nuevo Guararé F.C.:s goal. In the 6th minute there was a penalty for Nuevo Guararé F.C.. Manuel Oberto stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Mario Toledano. 0-1. A collision led to Nuevo Guararé F.C. getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Emiliano Pinilla hit a great ball. Edgardo Calderón took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucho Benavides, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 12 minutes into the match, Nuevo Guararé F.C.'s Fernando Amaya sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mario Toledano narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 14 minutes, Lorenzo Arias mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Nuevo Guararé F.C. and the Bethania F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. Giancarlo Tello struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Edgardo Calderón didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bethania F.C.. 26 minutes into the match, Bethania F.C.'s Giancarlo Tello sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Edgardo Calderón narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 27th minute, Giancarlo Tello got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Giancarlo Tello fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgardo Calderón having to interfere. Lorenzo Arias scored 0-3 in the 49th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mario Toledano, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Felix Osorio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Bethania F.C.'s zone, Fernando Amaya stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mario Toledano came out of the goal and Fernando Amaya tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nuevo Guararé F.C.'s Felix Osorio got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 68 played minutes Nuevo Guararé F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Lorenzo Arias. If Giancarlo Tello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Felix Osorio struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Mario Toledano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nuevo Guararé F.C.. Nuevo Guararé F.C.'s Edgardo Calderón played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Giancarlo Tello in the 82nd minute of play. Edgardo Calderón took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Giancarlo Tello, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 86th minute, Manuel Oberto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bethania F.C.'s Enrique Centella couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 87th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Nuevo Guararé F.C.. In the 88th match minute, Nuevo Guararé F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Totín Zapata to maneuver through the defense. In the 91st minute Giancarlo Tello shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgardo Calderón saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fernando Amaya fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mario Toledano having to interfere. Giancarlo Tello took the ball and in the 100 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Edgardo Calderón. Edgardo Calderón dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. The Nuevo Guararé F.C. players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
