Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Nicolás Villalobos took the kick off in the first half of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mario Navarro during the 4th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Beto Gomez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manuel Corral in the 12th minute of play. Nicolás Villalobos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edgardo Calderón read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. Fernando Toledano took the ball and in the 17 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Edgardo Calderón. Edgardo Calderón dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. In the 21st match minute, Río Rita F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicolás Villalobos to maneuver through the defense. When Felix Osorio came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Nuevo Guararé F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Felix Osorio couldn't finish the play. In the 23rd minute, Alberto Mora hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Nuevo Guararé F.C. booed when Río Rita F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fernando Sánchez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Julio Murillo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgardo Calderón having to interfere. In the 41st minute, Julio Murillo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nuevo Guararé F.C.'s goalkeeper couldn't reach when Nicolás Villalobos 43 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-0. Fernando Toledano charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fernando Toledano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Fernando Toledano kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Felix Osorio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Fernando Amaya was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 54th minute. Nuevo Guararé F.C.'s manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. A collision led to Nuevo Guararé F.C. getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Manuel Corral hit a great ball. When Río Rita F.C.'s Nicolás Villalobos in the 57th minute got a chance for a shot 57th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Nuevo Guararé F.C.'s goalie prevented a goal. In the 63rd minute, Río Rita F.C.'s goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Fernando Amaya fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 73rd minute Nicolás Villalobos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgardo Calderón saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Beto Gomez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernando Amaya in the 75th minute of the match. In the 81st minute of the match Alberto Mora sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Edgardo Calderón skillfully saved the ball. Nicolás Villalobos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julio Murillo in the 84th minute of play forced Nuevo Guararé F.C.'s goalkeeper Edgardo Calderón to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 86 minutes into the match, Nuevo Guararé F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Julio Murillo came free, but Edgardo Calderón reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 91st minute, Felix Osorio fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Beto Gomez, passed just outside the right post. Edgardo Calderón took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julio Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Emiliano Pinilla charged in rather forcefully in the 98th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Emiliano Pinilla the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 98th minute of the game. One of Nuevo Guararé F.C.:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Río Rita F.C.:s goal. Nuevo Guararé F.C.'s players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
