Lorenzo Mota fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucho Dely having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Heraclides Sánchez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mañanitas's supporters rose to their feet, but Heraclides Sánchez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lucho Dely breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 7th minute, Matias Rios got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Heraclides Sánchez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luis Osorio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcos Garcia De Paredes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lorenzo Mota could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Lucho Dely made a huge save. Heraclides Sánchez who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 36thth minute tested the skills of Lucho Dely when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The crowd rose to their feet as Jaime Spadafora kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Lucho Dely. That made the score 1-0 in the 38 minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Mañanitas's zone, Marcos Garcia De Paredes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luis Osorio came out of the goal and Marcos Garcia De Paredes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Heraclides Sánchez was the one to do the kick off. Lucho Dely took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Heraclides Sánchez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lucho Dely prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Heraclides Sánchez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lucho Dely was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. If Heraclides Sánchez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 70th play minutes Heraclides Sánchez shot 2-0, a short shot which went by Lucho Dely and just under the crossbar into goal. Rigoberto Herbruger hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Nombre De Dios's Lucho Dely played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Heraclides Sánchez in the 74th minute of play. The supporters of Mañanitas booed when Nombre De Dios was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wilfredo Ríos didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Joe Peralta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joe Peralta succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-1 in the 83rd playminute. After 89 minutes of play, Mañanitas's Heraclides Sánchez made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lucho Dely was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 92nd minute Jaime Spadafora shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucho Dely saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Heraclides Sánchez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lucho Dely was relentless in the 93rd minute of the game. Lucho Dely showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Heraclides Sánchez, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. When the referee ended the match the Mañanitas players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
