Jaime Spadafora could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Totin Peralta made a huge save. Heraclides Sánchez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 40 minutes into the match, Cirilo Guainora's goalkeeper Totin Peralta had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jaime Spadafora. In the 41st minute, Heraclides Sánchez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jaime Spadafora fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Totin Peralta having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Luis Osorio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emiliano Moreno in the 56th minute of the match. Cirilo Guainora's Totin Peralta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Heraclides Sánchez in the 62nd minute of play. He walked away shaking his head. In the 89th minute Heraclides Sánchez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Totin Peralta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Mañanitas fans cheered their team off the field, for while Cirilo Guainora had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
