Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Luis Espino started the match with the kick off. 8 minutes into the match, Mario Palma had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Julio Tello. El Cortezo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mario Palma was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 15th match minute, El Cortezo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Milton Aizprua to maneuver through the defense. The attack was good, but when Elias Castro in the 17th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Giancarlo Caballero kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. After having played for 20 minutes, Elias Castro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. El Silencio's supporters crossed their fingers, but Elias Castro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Julio Tello made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mario Palma in the 23rd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luis Espino got free with Pablo Zambrano in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 32nd minute Mario Palma shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Tello saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 42 minutes into the match, Elias Castro notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of El Cortezo's Julio Tello. Julio Tello was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 47 played minutes El Silencio got a freekick which was hit by Jaime Valdez. The audience thought a goal was coming when Juan Palma got free with Pablo Zambrano in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.

Julio Tello was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Max Gutierrez. If Luis Espino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. El Silencio's Pablo Zambrano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Milton Aizprua in the 66th minute of play. 67 minutes into the game, Alexander Moscoso was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. El Silencio's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave El Cortezo the free kick. The supporters of El Cortezo booed when El Silencio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexander Moscoso didn't get a good kick on the ball. Juan Palma struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Pablo Zambrano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for El Cortezo. Pablo Zambrano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Espino, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. El Cortezo's Julio Tello proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save El Cortezo from getting a goal against them. If Mario Palma had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 80th match minute, El Silencio was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fernando Briceño to maneuver through the defense. In the 84th minute, Juan Palma got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Juan Palma sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Mario Palma had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 89 minutes into the game, Milton Aizprua was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. El Cortezo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave El Silencio the free kick. The supporters of El Silencio booed when El Cortezo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Milton Aizprua didn't get a good kick on the ball. 92 minutes into the match, El Silencio's Mario Palma sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Tello narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Elias Castro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 96 minutes, Elias Castro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. El Silencio's supporters crossed their fingers, but Elias Castro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Elias Castro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 100th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match was over El Silencio could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than El Cortezo throughout the match.
